Bio entrepreneurs to address BioCity leadership event
4th March 2010
Two entrepreneurs who are spearheading science and technology businesses will tell their stories at the next OnCourse Innovation Leadership event to be held on March 18 at BioCity.
Keith Williams, of GxPi, and Stefan Ogrodzinski, of BioStatus, are guest speakers at the event run by Nottingham Development Enterprise (NDE).
They will talk about their personal journeys to success and the challenges facing businesses in a competitive market.
GxPi provides enterprise solutions for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device sectors. Founded in 1999, it expanded into a product and solutions business in 2006 to address increased regulatory and legal pressures of the sector.
"Given the current economic climate, the life sciences sector is desperate to drive cost savings and value into all of its activities", said Keith.
"We are using technology and improved compliance delivery to meet the needs of this sector as it moves into a more efficient era."
BioStatus supplies customers worldwide with reagents that offer significant advantages to both routine and research oriented cell-based analysis.
Since forming BioStatus, Stefan has co-founded four further life science companies and holds non-executive directorships with a number of other organisations including MedilinkEM Ltd and BioCity Nottingham.
He said: "One of the challenges I continually face concerns knowing when to pull back from initiatives that I have had a hand in forming."
