international collaborations

BioCity Nottingham has strong international connections which it can use for its tenants’ benefit. It is a major player in a programme of reciprocal arrangements with overseas science parks whereby Nottingham companies can be given particular assistance in exploring new markets in those areas. In particular, BioCity Nottingham has formed a formal strategic relationship with the  Commercialization Center for Innovative Technologies, New Jersey to assist life science companies with preparing US market entry.

Furthermore, with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), BioCity Nottingham can point tenants to people and organisations who are able to assist them in seeking and developing markets overseas.

BioCity Nottingham is a full member of The European Community Business and Innovation Centres (EC BICs) which are support organisations for entrepreneurs and innovative SMEs. They are recognised by the European Commission through a quality certification scheme, which enables centres to obtain the European “EC BIC” label.

BioCity Nottingham takes part in the UK Soft Landing Zone programme which are incubators which provide knowledge-based businesses with ‘hands on’ support, dedicated office accommodation and advice on setting up a second office abroad, an international joint venture, partnership, research and development opportunity or outsourcing agreement with companies located across the globe.

Every year BioCity Nottingham expands its global operations, welcoming visitors from all around the world, while Glenn Crocker, our CEO, is regularly invited to speak at prestigious seminars worldwide.
