Haemostatix is developing a new class of coagulant for the control of surgical bleeding. The company's lead product, PeproStat, has recently completed a clinical trial in liver surgery patients. PeproStat is based on a peptide conjugated to recombinant albumin, and is formulated as a sterile solution that is applied topically to an internal wound. We are now gearing up to progress the product into Phase IIb and beyond. We have a highly innovative platform technology and an exciting pipeline. Our second product, HXP12 ReadyFlow is a purely synthetic peptide formulated in a particulate gel, and is at a pre-clinical stage.
Substantial hands-on experience using HPLC is essential. Experience with some of the following techniques would also be beneficial: LC-MS UV-Vis, rheology, texture analysis, particle size analysis.
Degree (2.1 or higher), MSc or PhD in an appropriate subject. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or relevant post-doctoral research is essential.
