FDAS has an opportunity to join our busy laboratory, performing chemical analysis for a range of GMP pharmaceutical testing.
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will perform a range of analytical tests and techniques with a particular focus on GC methods.
Perform routine laboratory analysis in accordance with current pharmacopoeial or client test methods (including HPLC, GC, UV, IR, wet chemistry (limit tests, identification tests, titration) and solid dosage form (dissolution, disintegration, hardness, friability)).
GC – routine analysis and method development and validation activities. Maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments.
Checking and reporting of analysis results.
Accountable for safety, promotion of best practice, GMP compliance, scheduling, documentation and troubleshooting.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of 2 A-levels in scientific subjects, or equivalent and a minimum of one year’s laboratory experience within the pharmaceutical or food industry but ideally within a GMP contract testing or manufacturing environment. You will have experience and demonstrable skills in the use of gas chromatography, routine testing, method development & validation and maintenance/troubleshooting of instrumentation. You will have the ability to become a go-to analyst for the provision of expertise and advice in the GC field.
You will be proactive and confident in your ability to fulfil a team role or work autonomously, as required.
