Reach Separations a specialist outsource analysis and purification provider, is looking to recruit 2 laboratory based staff to help drive their continued expansion into 2014. Reports to: Senior Separation Scientist

Job purpose:

To support Senior Separation Scientists in the day to day running of the HPLC and SFC laboratories at Reach Separations.

 

Typical work activities:

  • ·         Laboratory inventory management – including ordering and re-stocking.
  • ·         Laboratory equipment operation.
  • ·         Scientific report creation
  • ·         Basic scientific operations such as solution preparation and evaporation.

 

Person profile:

Personality: Must be a team player and be able to get on with others. Self motivated demonstrates initiative.

Specific Job Skills: Must have good written and spoken communication skills. Should be capable of standard laboratory manipulations such as preparing solutions to specific concentrations, evaporation techniques, etc.

Computer skills: Must be competent in the use of standard office software and be skilled in spreadsheet manipulation.

Literacy and Numeracy: Must be a competent writer, for both scientific reports and customer interactions. Must be capable of scientific mathematical calculations.

 

Qualifications:

  • A-Level equivalents in chemistry or physics
  • GCSE equivalents in Mathematics and English

 

Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
