Medilink East Midlands Ltd is seeking to recruit additional Project Leaders to deliver project activity across a range of current and future business support focused projects. For instance, one focus of activity is to provide advice and guidance to help East Midlands businesses become more innovative as part of our delivery of a number of projects part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, and aimed at stimulating innovation in the East Midlands life science sector. (Qualified candidates wishing to work part time will be considered).
The suitable candidate will be a conscientious, results-orientated team player with a solid background in the life sciences sector, preferably with experience of developing new products or services, and able to establish valued professional relationships with clients.
The Project Leader’s main role will be that of client engagement and management. Working with small to medium sized businesses (‘clients’) operating in, or looking to move into, the life science sector, you will analyse client needs around innovation, identify opportunities and enable connections with suitable expertise to help the development and introduction of innovative products, services or processes. As a Project Leader, you may also be required to take responsibility for the management of projects, as appropriate, including administration around reporting and producing financial claims for funding partners.
This role has shared responsibility for covering the East Midlands region.
The successful applicant will show commercial awareness, particularly with respect to the SME sector; be highly motivated; and have industry / sector experience and / or a life sciences related degree.
Experience of NHS / social services procurement processes is desirable; experience of working on publicly funded projects would be an advantage; experience of working with colleges and universities would be useful; but none are essential.
Salary: £38,000 - 42,000 pro rata
