PDS is delighted to announce further expansion by the recent appointment of Dr Simon Forster as a Quality Management Consultant.
Simon graduated from the University of Kent with a first degree in Microbiology and a Master's in Biochemistry. He then completed a Ph.D. in tumour biology at the University of Leicester, followed by a number of postdoctoral research positions. He has subsequently worked for a number of UK biotech companies, most notably Cambridge Antibody Technology, where he held positions in Quality Control and Quality Assurance, including five years as Head of Quality Control. During this time he established from scratch a GMP-compliant quality management system.
Simon's background has given him a broad experience of the development of protein biopharmaceuticals, particularly therapeutic monoclonal antibodies, from discovery through the various development phases to late stage clinical trials and large scale GMP manufacture. He is also experienced in the development and validation of analytical methods for protein biopharmaceuticals.
The appointment of Simon enables PDS to offer a wider range of services, notably in the field of biotechnology.
