Architects Benoy, business incubator BioCity, security group Octavian, language trainer Betterlanguages.com and teaching aids business Prime Principle will find out on Friday if they have won an award for overseas trade links. They are up against companies from across the East Midlands for awards that are being handed out by the Government's export assistance wing, UK Trade & Investment.
The six awards are New Exporter Award, International Business Communication Award - Company, International Business Communication Award - Language Provider, Established Exporter China and Established Exporter India and worldwide. There will also be an overall Exporter of the Year award. Winners from each category will receive a unique piece of glass designed and created by another Notts exporter - internationally renowned Ingrid Pears, who has received UK Trade & Investment support in the past. Peter Hogarth, UKTI's International Trade Director for the East Midlands, said: "It's a special day to meet some of the businesses and people we have helped and to celebrate in their success."
