Ikon Informatix Ltd. runs the Research NewsStand service whereby suppliers of laboratory reagents and services can display their marketing literature on NewsStands located in over 100 life science and chemistry departments in universities and research institutes throughout the UK. Some of these are equipped with LifeScience.TV that delivers a mix of science news and information through internet-enables screens mounted on the NewsStands.

Ikon Informatix organises and manages a series of workshops as part of the Networked Pharma project, a not-for-profit organisation based at BioCity Nottingham. As Big Pharma rationalises its research activities and moves further towards late-stage (clinical) development, early-stage drug discovery is being left to a variety of academic units, SMEs (CROs, biotechs) and others. Networked Pharma is dedicated to helping build the new, networked model that will allow these to work together more effectively to fill the gap.
